South African Adventure

• Day 1:

  Get ready for your Southern Africa Expedition! Your nonstop South African Airways flight departs JFK International Airport and arrives in Johannesburg, South Africa the day. 

• Day 2:

  After arriving at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa, you will clear customs before boarding your connecting South African Airways flight to Cape Town, South Africa. 

  Upon arrival at the Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by your driver at the airport and transferred to the Cape Milner Hotel to begin your 3-night stay in Cape Town. 

  Spend your evening at your own leisure. 

• Day 3:

  Today is a day at leisure.

  We suggest an optional full day scheduled Cape Point tour - or an optional full day scheduled Cape Winelands tour. Please inquire with your sales consultant when booking.

• Day 4:

  Today is a day at leisure.

  A full day at leisure to explore the beautiful city of Cape Town. Maybe take a trip in the cable car up Table Mountain or a boat ride for a poignant visit to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years. Perhaps take time to explore the vibrant V&A Waterfront with its many shops, restaurants and activities available as well as the fascinating Two Oceans Aquarium. In the summer months maybe head for the white sand beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay for people watching and soaking up the African Sun. Whatever else, you will not be at a loss for things to do!

• Day 5:

  After breakfast at the Cape Milner Hotel, you will be transferred from the hotel to the Cape Town International Airport for your South African Airways flight to Durban, South Africa.

  Upon arrival at the King Shaka International Airport in Durban, you will be transferred to the Protea Hotel by Marriott Durban Umhlanga for your 2-night stay. 

  Spend your evening at your own leisure exploring the nearby community of Umhlanga and the Umhlanga Beach. An affluent coastal community, Umhlanga offers guests excellent shopping, dining and beaches. Spend your days looking the Indian Ocean. The hotel is set near the historical Umhlanga lighthouse and close to numerous natural attractions and historic battlefields. 

• Day 6:

  The Golden Mile, Durban’s 3.7-mile long sandy beach and promenade. Swimming is good all year round due to the warm, subtropical climate. Surfing is prevalent, dozens of swimming and splash pools can be found along the promenade, and crafts can be purchased from seaside stalls. Exotic restaurants, nightclubs, and many hotels can be found oceanfront.

• Day 7:

  After breakfast, you will be transferred from the Protea Hotel by Marriott Durban Umhlanga to the Rhino Sands Safari Camp for your 3-night safari. 

  Embark on daily game activities on a Full-Inclusive accommodation stay at the Luxury Rhino Sands Safari Camp.

  Situated in the big five Manyoni Private Game Reserve, Rhino Sands Safari Camp is a five-star tented luxury safari destination designed to bring an authentic safari experience in traditional East African style to Kwa-Zulu Natal.

  The experience revolves around two daily safari drives within Manyoni Private Game Reserve. The reserve is one of the premier game-viewing destinations in Kwa-Zulu Natal and is home to the Big 5 along with African wild dogs and cheetahs, as well as large numbers of all the more common African animals. One of the most special moments on game drive are the rest stops, in the morning for coffee and tea and in the evening for sundowner drinks. Guests get a chance to pause and absorb the bush around them while stretching their legs and enjoying refreshments and snacks. We suggest guests take this time to enjoy an exceptional wilderness moment.

• Day 8:

  Spend your final morning at the safari camp before being transferred from to the King Shaka International Airport for your South African Airways flight to Johannesburg. 

  After arriving at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, you will catch your nonstop South African Airways flight back to JFK International Airport. 

• Day 9:

  Welcome back home! Your South African Airways flight arrives in the morning at JFK International Airport.

Round trip coach air on South African Airways from New York John F Kennedy or Washington Dulles Airports to Johannesburg; domestic coach air in South Africa as per the itinerary (Johannesburg – Cape Town - Durban – Johannesburg); Accommodation as per the itinerary; Some meals as per the itinerary (10x breakfast, 3x lunch, 3x dinner); Ground transfers as per the itinerary.
