Terms & Conditions – DSA Vacations

Once you have decided on your tour or reservations, please read the conditions of travel as your booking is subject to the terms listed below. A contract is entered into once your signed booking form and deposits are received by DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations and we accept and confirm the booking.

HOW TO BOOK

Land Deposit:

A deposit of 30% of the land tour or service cost is required to confirm your booking.

Airline Tickets:

Flight payments are to be paid in full at time of booking.

Final Payment:

The balance of the land tour cost is required no later than 60 days prior to your departure or      commencement of the tour.  If you book your tour within 60 days of departure, the full amount of the tour or service must be paid in at time of booking.  If the final balance is not received on time, DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled by you and to levy cancellation charges.

CANCELLATIONS:

Should you wish to cancel your trip, you must notify DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations in writing. Please send notification via email to bookings@flysaavacations.com or mail to 3320 North Campbell Avenue, Suite 200, Tucson, AZ, 85719 to the attention of your Travel Specialist.  Please state to DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations your reason for cancellation as you may be covered by your insurance policy.

Should the Client cancel or alter the Tour Package and/or any part thereof, and should the Client cancel or alter the total number of bookings comprising the Tour Package and/or any part thereof, then the Client shall forfeit or if payment has yet to be made, shall be responsible for payment of:

  1. a) 30% deposit is non-refundable should such cancellation or alteration take place.
  2. b) 100% of the Component Cost should such cancellation or alteration take place less than 60 days prior to the Commencement Date.

Should the cancellation or payment terms of any of the suppliers or service providers be more onerous then those listed above, then the terms of the supplier or service provider shall prevail.

PLEASE NOTE:

The above cancellation policies do not apply to international airline tickets.  Different cancellations/change policies apply depending on the airline and airfare booked. Please ask your Travel Specialist for specific details.

TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE:

DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations recommends that all passengers purchase Travel Insurance for their protection to cover unforeseen cancellations, loss due to damage or theft of luggage and /or personal belongings, and for personal injury, accidents and/or illness. DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS/INJURY IN ANY RESPECT WHATSOEVER RESULTING FROM ANY OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED OCCURRENCES.  A travel insurance quote will be automatically generated.  I understand that I am under no obligation to purchase insurance and no policy will be issued without my consent. I acknowledge that travel insurance will be offered to me.

Travel Guard travel insurance is available for all land and air packages through DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations.

HEALTH:

It is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure that the correct health documents are valid before the commencement of any journey. Please consult your physician and the CDC for updated health and immunization requirements.

PASSPORT DOCUMENTATION:

For all international travel, you must be in possession of a valid passport, which is valid for six months after the intended date of return.  Depending on the countries you visit, you may be required to have a number of unused visa facing pages in your passport.  It is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure that passports and visas are valid before the commencement of your trip.  This includes documentation required for traveling with minor children. Please ask your Travel Specialist for specific details.

BAGGAGE LIMITATIONS:

Lithium batteries and e-cigarettes are not permitted in checked baggage.  The carriage of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device is strictly prohibited and may not be carried by passengers on their person, in carry-on baggage, in checked baggage or as cargo.

TOUR PRICES:

All rates are quoted in US Dollars. Rates are subject to amendment in the event of any changes in tariffs or rate of exchange.

NOT INCLUDED:

Costs of international or domestic airfares unless specifically stated in the itinerary, obtaining passports, visas, inoculations, or other medical expenses, excess baggage charges, airport taxes, tips and gratuities and items of a purely personal nature such as drinks, laundry, telephone calls, meals and services not specifically stated in the itinerary and/or voucher.

RESPONSIBILITY:

DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations acts only as an agent for the passenger regarding travel, whether by railroad, motor coach, rental car, boat or airplane and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be the result of any reason whatsoever, or through acts of default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger or when carrying out the arrangements of the tour. DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations accepts no responsibility for personal property loss or additional expenses due to delay or changes or other causes. Also, any and all such losses and expenses will have to be assumed by the passenger as tour rates provide for arrangements only for the time stated. DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to departure, in which case full refund will constitute full settlement by the passenger. No refund will be made for unused portion of the tour unless arranged prior to departure from the USA. The right is reserved to decline, to accept or retain any person as a member or any tour. The right is reserved to   withdraw any tour, or any part of a tour, and to make such alterations in the itinerary that seem necessary and desirable, and to substitute hotel accommodations, whenever necessary.

DISCLOSURE NOTICE:

Please be aware that during your participation in a DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations tour, certain risks and dangers may arise including, but not limited to, the hazards DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations of traveling in underdeveloped areas, travel by boat, train, automobile, aircraft or other means of conveyance, the forces of nature, political unrest, accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation or medical facilities. Also, be aware, and clearly understand that DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations will not have liability regarding provision of medical care, or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered. You are voluntarily participating in these activities with the knowledge of the dangers involved and hereby agree to accept any risks.

SERVICE PROVIDER REPRESENTATION:

DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations endeavors at all times to ensure that the Service Providers meet such standards as may be represented in the brochures supplied by such Service Providers, and the brochures supplied by the Service Providers accurately reflect the Tour Package to which such brochure relates.  Notwithstanding the aforementioned, DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations accepts no responsibility or liability for the accuracy of the information contained in the Tour Brochure and/or any representation and/or misrepresentation, loss, injury, damage, delay and/or inconvenience which may be suffered by the Client and/or the Tour Group arising out of any act and/or omission and/or misrepresentation on the part of the Service Provider, its servants, agents, contractors, sub-contractors, guests and the like. The use of any aspects or portion of the Tour Package shall at all times be subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the Service Provider and any lawful directives given by the Service Provider or their duly authorized representatives.

VIS MAJOR:

The Client and/or any member of the Tour Group shall not have any claim of any nature whatsoever against, DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations for any failure by DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vactions to carry out any of its obligations under the contract as a result of vis major, including but without being limited to  any  strike, lock-out, shortage of labor or supplies and/or goods, delays in transport, accidents of any kind, any default or delay by any Service Provider, riot, political or civil disturbances, the elements, any  act of any State or Government or any authority, or any other cause whatever beyond DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations’ control.  If for any cause available supplies of the goods or services forming part of the Tour Package become, or will in its opinion become, be insufficient to meet the requirements of all its Clients at any time, then SAAV shall be entitled to alter the nature of the Tour Package and supply similar services and facilities to its Clients or allocate such services or facilities amongst its Clients in such a manner as it deems fair and equitable, and to vary its obligations to the Client accordingly, until such time as DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations is satisfied that the facilities and services at its disposal are sufficient to meet the requirements of all its Clients.

If the performance of DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations obligations herein is unduly delayed by any of the causes set out above, then the Client shall be entitled, subject to obtaining the previous written consent of DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations, to cancel the affected portion of the Tour Package.                                                                                                                  

Group – Terms & Conditions

Once you have decided on your tour or reservations please read the condition of travel as your booking is subject to the terms listed below. A group consists of a minimum of 10 paying passengers. Please discuss payment schedule options with your Travel Specialist.

100% of payment towards air & land arrangements must be received no later than 120 days prior to departure date. If the final balance is not received on time, DSA Vacations/South African Airways Vacations reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled by you and to levy cancellation charges as follows in the cancellation section of this form.

CANCELLATIONS:

Should the Client cancel or alter the Tour Package and/or any part thereof, and should the Client cancel or alter the total number of bookings comprising the Tour Package and or any part thereof, then the Client shall forfeit or if payment have yet to be made, shall be responsible for payment of:

Outside of 1 year prior to departure                                Full refund less $100 Service Fee Person

AIRLINE CHANGES AND DEVIATIONS:  

A: Date changes NOT PERMITTED

B: Name changes NOT PERMITTED once ticketed

C: Flight and routing changes NOT PERMITTED

D: Down selling to lower fare NOT PERMITTED

E: Flight coupons must be used in order of issuance or lose validity

F: Economy class group airline tickets are not eligible for upgrades

G: Partially used tickets are not refundable

Different cancellations/change policies may apply depending on the airline booked. Please ask your Travel Specialist for specific details.
